Short term car park closedGatwick closes three short term car parksOctober 2006Monday October 23rd saw the beginning of an almost six month closure of three short term car parks at Gatwick's North Terminal. The closure of the multi storey car parking facilities follows on from similar projects undertaken in the past at the airport's South Terminal. The refurb of all four car parks will result in a package of improvements which include environmental benefits such as energy saving lighting and better facilities for passengers such as clearer road markings and surfaces. There will be a curtesy bus running for the convenience of rental customers throughout the closure between North Terminal and South Terminal Car Rental Building. It will run throughout the day at five minute intervals and at a slightly reduced service through the night. Passengers being briefly picked up or dropped off as well as those with disabilities and Fast Track passengers and those with parking season tickets at North Terminal, will find around 250 car park spaces available in Northh Terminal.
