Information regarding the conditions of contents of your baggage

August 2006

"Following the events of the past few days there is understandably some confusion regarding what you can and can't take through security, and in hand luggage, aboard flights from UK airports.

The single piece of luggage you are allowed to take through security measure no more than 16x35x45cm. Certain conditions still apply regarding the content of this luggage and a full list of these conditions is available at baa.com.

Before you check in. Any liqued gels you have with you must be packed into yor luggage to be stored in the hold. No liquirds or gels can be taken with you through security.

Once you are through security. Provided you are NOT travelling to the USA, you can take all items purchased from the shops and restuarants in the departure lounge - including liquids, gels, food and electronic items - on to the aircraft with you.

If you are travelling to the USA You are not permitted to take any liquid or gel items on to the aircraft with you, wherever they were bought. You are able to take all other purchases on to the aircraft with you. This is the only restriction after security.

If you are in any doubt you can find out more information on the website baa.com.
